I walked out of the latter unimpressed, even fearing that the man had lost his magic. But years later, it looks like another Lynch classic, and it's almost hard to imagine that people (including your truly) didn't get it immediately.<br /><br />Sometimes it takes a film to shed light on another film. But here's a question I find interesting: why is MH routinely considered to be so much better than LH when it has just as many loose threads and dead-end alleys (possibly even more, considering it's genesis as a failed TV pilot)?
